Create New Traditions This Christmas With The Sparkle Box Book

The holiday season can often be clouded by the glare of commercialism, and it’s easy for families to get caught up in the parties, gifts and lights and forget there is a deeper reason to celebrate Christmas. Jill Sparkle Box creator saw this happening with her own family, and she found a special way to show her children the joy of giving to others and to teach them that giving is itself a gift! This impactful tradition resulted in the creation of The Sparkle Box, and each book comes with a beautiful sparkle box so families can begin their own tradition this Christmas season.

Here’s what The Sparkle Box can teach us:

  • About #TheSparkleBoxChallenge, which Jill hopes will spread throughout the nation this holiday season.
  • The inspiration behind the tradition that began with her own family several years ago.
  • Practical ideas (no-cost and/or low cost) for how you and your family can get involved with giving to others this holiday season.
  • The joy of giving to others and how giving is itself a gift for the giver!
  • If you already have traditions like leaving cookies and milk for Santa, why not make a new tradition of leaving a Sparkle Box under your tree?
  • The profound impact this new tradition has had on their family, and how it has changed their Christmas celebration, as well as their entire holiday season.
With all the tragedies that are going on in the world, we could all use a bit of kindness and compassion. This year, Jill hopes that #TheSparkleBoxChallenge will become a much needed movement across the nation, and inspire families to be part of spreading kindness and compassion to others! In the spirit of giving, the publisher is also making the entire book available through 12/31 at: so ANYONE can participate in the challenge! Each book comes with a free included Sparkle Box to start the challenge!
The Sparkle Box story begins with Sam who is so excited about Christmas. He’s busy thinking about his Christmas list, anticipating holiday parties and puzzling over one very mysterious gift—a sparkly box sitting on the mantel above the fireplace. Throughout the Christmas season, Sam and his family participate in various acts of kindness and service to others. On Christmas morning, Sam finally gets to open the Sparkle Box, where he finds slips of paper recording the family’s good deeds during the holiday season. Sam’s parents explain that the things that they’ve been doing for others are, in fact, a gift for God. This uplifting story will inspire readers to adopt this new tradition in their homes.
